This research project, managed by the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, will begin work for the Home and Personal Care Sector of The Sustainability Consortium this month. The objective of this project is to provide an overview of the latest methods and frameworks currently being used by governments, NGOs and industry organizations to evaluate the health and environmental risks of chemical based products. The results of this investigation will be used to identify the best method and or set of methods to evaluate the health and safety of consumer goods.
