Kate Gilliam joined the TSC in April 2019 as a research assistant on the NWA Circular Economy Project and the Flexible Film initiative. She is a Ph.D. student in Environmental Dynamics at the University of Arkansas and has a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Science. Her thesis in on groundwater interaction with abandoned mines at the Rush Mining District on the Buffalo National River. She assists Carole Mars by collecting and collating information on the waste streams in Northwest Arkansas and creating GIS maps for the project.
