About The Series
You have your sustainability scorecard in hand, highlighting where your company is doing well and where it has opportunity for driving sustainable impact. You also can see which issues are priority for your retail customers. But what do you do next? How does one actually achieve their sustainability targets? TSC’s Achieve Your Sustainability Targets virtual series for consumer goods suppliers is an opportunity to learn directly from sustainability leaders on a particular issue. The series will provide you with practical advice for how to become a leader on issues, including: deforestation, energy and GHGs, social compliance, packaging, chemicals, and sustainable agriculture.
This new virtual series includes six 90-minute webinars from leaders in the sustainability industry. The webinars are best watched live to actively participate in the panel discussion and Q&A. TSC members and participants that buy exclusive access to this series will be able to download all recordings and presentations.

Sustainable Agriculture: November 7

Identifying and sharing best practices in sustainable agriculture is critical to maintaining healthy soils, watersheds, and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. Join Organic Valley, a cooperative of 2,000+ organic farmers that average nearly triple the organic pasture requirement, to learn tips and lessons from the field on the benefits and challenges of organic, pasture-based agriculture. HSBC bank will round out the discussion speaking about their Agricultural Commodities Sector Sustainability Policy.
Chemicals: November 9
Main Presenter: Pure Strategies
Panelists: HSBC Bank, HP
This webinar aims to help companies improve their sustainable chemicals management programs to boost performance and associated progress reporting (e.g., KPIs). Guest speakers from Pure Strategies, HP, and HSBC Bank will cover effective program approaches including a deep dive into the Chemical Footprint Project, Restricted Substances List approaches, and engaging your supply chain.
Energy and GHGs: November 14
Main Presenter: CDP
Panelists: Fruit of Loom
Greenhouse gas emissions hotspots can be strong indicators of inefficiency and waste within a global supply chain. By effectively tackling GHG emissions, companies can realize cost savings, manage risks and develop more collaborative opportunities with value chain partners. We invite you to join CDP as they share best practices in measuring, managing, reporting and reducing GHG emissions through strategic investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy. We will also discuss the benefits of setting bold, ambitious goals such as Science-Based Targets and RE100 (100% renewable energy). Fruit of Loom will then join the discussion with insights from their own journey to effectively manage and reduce their carbon footprint.
Social Compliance: November 16
Main Presenter: Newell Brands
Panelists: Seventh Generation
Join Newell Brands as they share why they have made social compliance a priority focus across their global supply chain. This session will cover best practices around creating a social compliance program that drives impact regardless of a company’s size. During this session we will learn about the importance of transparency and training to support long-term sustainable improvements and supplier development.
Packaging: November 28
Main Presenter: Henkel
Panelists: Sustainable Packaging Coalition, Walmart
From the reduction of packaging to the use of recycle friendly packaging and re-use of recycled content, join TSC member and board member, Henkel, as they share their lessons learned in the process of including packaging in their sustainability strategy within the framework of circular economy solutions.
Deforestation: November 30
Main Presenter: EDF and Pecuaria Sustentavel da Amazonia (Pecsa)
Panelists: Arcos Dorados, HSBC Bank
An emerging opportunity in reducing deforestation is in engaging jurisdictions across an entire landscape. Rather than going farm-by-farm to ensure sustainability—which is likely to lead to islands of “green” in a sea of deforestation—a jurisdictional approach allows companies to work with governments and NGOs to create entire regions that are improving along deforestation and productivity metrics. Join Environmental Defense Fund and their partner Pecuaria Sustentavel da Amazonia (Pecsa), a for-profit cattle ranching management and partnership firm, to learn how to take a more holistic approach to tackle deforestation.
