ARIZONA, USA, – March 26, 2013– Harris Tea Company, the leading US supplier of Private Brand Tea Bags, Instant Tea, and Iced Tea Mixes has joined The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) in the Food, Beverage, and Agriculture (FBA) Sector Working Group.

“We are so excited to have Harris Tea Company join TSC’s family,” said Dr. Sarah Lewis of the Food, Beverage, and Agriculture Working Group of TSC. “With production facilities which include California, Georgia, New Jersey, and the United Kingdom, Harris Tea Co., will be a great addition to the FBA Working Group. We look forward to strengthening our business together with extensive knowledge and expertise.”

In addition to blending and packaging conventional teas, Harris Tea Company is a licensed organic tea manufacturer. They offer a complete line of certified Fair Trade teas, which empower farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.

TSC’s Food, Beverage, and Agriculture Working Group is the largest working group in the organization and home to other participants such as Kellogg’s, Miller Coors, and PepsiCo, Inc. The FBA Working Group is also developing an innovation project around Commodity Mapping, biodiversity, and water usage.
